Esther currently works with our lab and Paul Martin’s lab on project to understand the mechanisms of collagen secretion and assembly, its relationship to wound healing and age-related changes in extracellular matrix, and the role of the circadian rhythm on these processes.

Esther helps keep all our fish lines in tip top shape (genotyping, crossing and sperm freezing), as well as using molecular biology techniques and histological staining.

Outside of the lab I like to meet up on weekends (mainly) with my friends and go hiking. I love organizing meals at my house and playing board games. I like to travel and to visit my family (back in Spain) every time I can. 😊
